Support Operator

DESCRIPTION

Your main role will be to provide frontline support to The Tech Centre customers through our available support platforms.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customer support requests to solve any issues they may have.
  • Identify customer needs and apply troubleshooting procedures where required.
  • Spot trends in customer requests which may need escalation.
  • Classifying incidents and escalating or reassigning them to the appropriate teams or departments if necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a genuinely friendly, optimistic, and helpful attitude.
  • You are open-minded and have a willingness to learn.
  • A strong understanding of the English language with attention to detail.
  • You are able to convey information in a clear and easy to understand format.
  • An individual who is accountable for their actions and not afraid to ask for help if required.

HELPFUL ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior experience with Multicraft and/or other game server control panels.
  • Prior experience with WHMCS.

Social Media Manager

DESCRIPTION

As a Social Media Manager, you will work to establish The Tech Centre’s Social Media presence to increase brand awareness and engage with customers.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to messages on various platforms. (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Monitor brand mentions, market trends, and incident reports.
  • Respond to and forward feedback from clients and respond to their reviews (Trustpilot, Google).
  • Assist with the creation & publishing of content on our Social Media platforms, and publicising of events.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge and understanding of gaming communities.
  • Familiarity and understanding of Photoshop.
  • Strong familiarity with social platforms.
  • Up-to-date and understanding of latest trends.
  • Familiarity and understanding of SEO.

HELPFUL ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience interacting with clients via Social Media.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or similar software.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or other video editing software.
  • Familiarity with Jira or other task-tracking software.

Software Developer

DESCRIPTION

As a Software Developer, you will maintain and extend software projects at The Tech Centre, as well as be involved in the creation of new tools and software for our staff, customers and backend infrastructure.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1+ years experience as a web developer.
  • Experience building progressive web applications, using frameworks such as React, Vue.js, AngularJS or similar.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (or TypeScript) including best practices and conventions.
  • Highly proficient in Node.js development.
  • Ability to manage source code with Git.
  • Able to work independently.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Write effective, maintainable and extensible code.
  • Adding new features to the products/platforms.
  • Resolving issues from GitLab.
  • Brainstorming new platform ideas and improvements.
  • Proactively participate in company discussions and personal/professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with the development team to complete assigned projects.

HELPFUL ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience with Docker.
  • Experience using TailwindCSS.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (particularly MySQL and MongoDB).
  • Experience with PHP.
  • Understanding of web design (UX and/or UI).
